What’s this?

This is a blog. Obviously. More precisely, this is my blog. In detail, this means you will find here comments from me on topics that not only jump my mind but that I’m willing to put here.

What’s this about?

Mainly, this is just a blog like many others. I post something and whoever feels like doing so might read it or even post a comment.

Partially, this is also a commitment blog. Over the last couple of months, I collected some ideas of stuff I might eventually end up doing. So, if I post here that I plan to finish a book by the end of the year, you can flag me down on new year’s eve and quote me on that. (And I did not quite yet mention the book thing, of course.)

Any inspirations?

You bet. First of all, my girlfriend and I maintained a travel blog while being on the road last year. That got me thinking. We are back home now, so that is closed and this one is up.

Secondly, some friends of mine currently maintain their blogs. This includes a techno cultural one (mainly in German), a kinda world critical one, and a political one (even though, these I know more or less indirectly).

Last, and least, I actually like the „Next Blog“ feature of this blog space provider which should be available in the upper right hand corner of this page.

Will there be a posting every day?

Very unlikely. We had an entry for every day in our travel blog. And even though that made sense, it was challenging from time to time.

So, sit back, relax, and don’t worry. Keeping up with this here shouldn’t eat too much of your time.

What about the language?

This is obviously in English, even though I’m actually a native German speaker. I made my choice mainly in order to reach some more people who have some trouble following my German. Of course, I continue writing in German as well. Parts of this are available close by.
